There were an amazing number of them and an incredible selection. Haden was used to a sort of modern colonial look to her home in Connecticut, but she was learning that to fit in in New Orleans, she was going to need to add some history to her home. While she was enjoying the shopping and the last few days between her and Andrew had been very pleasant, her feelings over the incident with Sayid had stayed with her. At first she'd thought it was guilt she was experiencing. But part of her was starting to realize that as often as she'd thought about Sayid, it was rarely guilt she felt when she did. Haden found herself in a loop. She'd see something or someone and it would remind her of Sayid. She'd become aroused, she'd fantasize about him. Most of the clothing was too young or expressive for Haden. There were t-shirts with bands she'd never heard of, polka dot skirts that felt like they were from an episode of Happy Days, tops that had sort of a built in corset in them, platform mary janes and a host of other items that Haden couldn't imagine wearing. “Have you even spoken to mom about it?” Haden turned to see two young women speaking in loud whispers through the store. One was maybe in high school still, the other still in college. The older girl was dressed on the risque side and Haden thought she came off as trashy. Her eye makeup was ridiculously thick. Her trucker hat turned to the side looked juvenile. Her shorts were so short that her butt cheeks were almost poking out of the bottom. “Why would I tell mom about it? I know what she thinks. She calls me slut behind my back and thinks that I don't hear her. I'm not stupid.” The girl was absently picking through dresses while she spoke to her younger s****r. “I'm just worried is all.
