... pay well. Although the “perks” were good, that does not buy groceries. I started going with my future wife, and money suddenly became important. One of my friends from my old company submitted my name for a job in an electronics factory he worked for, which did the military and aerospace gizmos I was experienced on. The pay was almost twice, and working conditions were great. I accepted it. We got married. Wife took over the job of pleasing me, quite well (however not as good as the Scandinavian twins). I never told her about the “perks” of TV repair (or why I was so well trained in pleasing her). She came from a religious family, like I did. Both of us were overexposed to strict religious families and were rebelling to ultra-religion, ad-nausea. We were rebellious enough to find each other, and learn to satisfy each other. However, her “training” took a while to erase her prudish upbringing. I did miss the perks of TV “service”, but settled down. I did not miss driving 200 miles a day,sometimes in snow, and never leaving the county. Once, while shopping in a store with my wife, one of my more beautiful former “serviced” customers stopped and said hello to me. I said hello back. The lady walked on. I could see my wife was a bit jealous, and she asked "How do you know her?" I said “She was one of the customers when I did TV repair.” The confused look on her face was priceless. Further conversation on the subject never occurred.
