... mean, it's obvious what got me in a pissy mood. But instead of thinking over it again, I headed for the library where I could just indulge in my own mind. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ I had been in the library for about ten minutes when I heard a group of loud boys walk in. I glanced up from my book and my eyes fell on Alex, being obnoxious and annoying like he is. (Hah, aren't I having a wonderful day?) I looked back down at my book, fully aware of the noise the stupid asses were making. My anger only intensified when I felt someone sit next to me. I kept my face down, but I wasn't reading anymore, not with Alex right beside me. At least, that's who I thought it was. "What are you doing?" I asked bluntly, looking at the space he was occupying. "Woah, someone's feisty." They replied. "Does my presence anger you?" I risked a look at his face as soon as he began speaking and realized it was Troy. "Oh gosh, I'm sorry! Thought you were someone else." I apologized. "Oh, okay. It's all good." He smiled and leaned back on the couch. "What are you reading?" "Nothing interesting. I just picked it up, and now I'm putting it down." I replied as I did just that. He laughed and reached over me to grab the book, slightly rubbing his hand on my leg as he sat back. "Hm, looks boring." He placed the book down. "Of course you'd judge a book by its cover." I said. "You're a jock." He raised an eyebrow. "Hypocritical much? ... "Shut up, jocks aren't supposed to be smart." I joked. "Oh, but I am." He pointed to his head. "Believe it or not, my brain works just fine. And I'm not a jock!" He laughed as he pushed my shoulder. I feigned as if it hurt me and grasped my shoulder. "Jeez. Must you use your jock strength on me?" "Haha, very funny." He said sarcastically. "So, what are you doing here instead of being at lunch?" "Didn't feel like eating." I lied. "Wanted time alone, I guess." "Am I intruding on your personal time?" He asked as he sat up straight. I shook my head. "I enjoy your company." - - - We talked for about the next ten minutes until the bell rang for our 6th period. I placed my book in my backpack and stood up, Troy standing up as well. "Where's your class?" He asked as we headed out the library. "400 hall." I answered. "Mine too." He replied. "I'll walk with you." And he did just that. For a little bit that is. We were walking to our classes along with everyone else when Troy was pulled back. I turned around to catch a glimpse of his eyes before he turned to look at Christina. My stomach dropped as I was reminded that he had a girlfriend, and that I didn't have a good relationship with said girlfriend. My gaze met with her's and she tried giving me a menacing glare, but her ugly ass failed miserably. "Christina, calm down." I heard Troy say as I continued walking. "Why the fuck are you walking with him? He's gay ." She spat. I'm not sure what was exchanged between them after that, but I ...
