Camping Has Never Been This Good Before.

I had been working long hours and for three weeks without a day off. I had taken a week’s break. I decided to get away from it all and have a few days alone in one of my favorite camping sites, away from the maddening crowd. I have a couple of these places I visit where I can be alone and enjoy my time, walking through the bush, reading, and enjoy nature alone. Being a nudist I do most of these things naked whenever the warmth of the day allows it. The sun rises early, but does not come over the hill surrounding my camp site till about 8.00am at this time of the year. Once the sun has warmed the valley, I strip off and remain naked until sundown. The area mainly I use is remote and is a few hours drive out of town, in what was once a cattle property but has now been reclaimed by the National Parks Service. It is a blind valley. In other words the river passes through a narrow valley at each end and passage through is only through the river which is not easy and depends on the water height. The Rural Fire Service and National Parks have created a fire trail and 4WD track into the valley which takes about two hours to traverse. It’s a rough and steep track and requires a rugged vehicle. I have a Toyota 4WD Land Cruiser which can handle most of the terrain I visit. On this occasion I had driven in and set up my camp before dark. ... usually quite cold. There is an area of rapids next to a water hole and being shallow the sun can warm the water an hour or so after it hits the valley. It’s still not warm, but comfortable enough for a swim and to bathe in. It’s very safe to drink as well. I built a fire pit previously and before I depart I usually leave a pile of timber to use immediately I arrive. In view of the difficult drive, I usually arrive pretty late in the afternoon so it provides me with timber to cook my evening meal without having to scavenge for it On this occasion I noticed somebody had been using the camp between this and my last visit. This became obvious due to the way the wood had been replaced and stacked and the camp site left in pristine condition with no rubbish. What they had carried in, they carried out. I had noticed some conservation work had been done nearby as I drove in, so I soon realized it must have been some National Park Rangers That night before turning in I lay in the dark beside my camp fire looking at the stars, and some of the space junk which traverses the skies in this area. This can be recognized by the speed at which it travels with the sun shining upon it in space. I have timed it and it takes eighty four minutes to circle the globe. Soon after, I went to bed and enjoyed one of the best night’s sleeps I'd had for ages. The next day I went for a walk for a few hours naked and alone and at peace with the world.
