It was early just this last November, and winter wasn't too bad so far and my Daughter Amy called to ask me what I was doing on the up coming weekend? If you've read some of my other stories you may know that my Amy, my daughter is at Ohio state. Amy invited me to fathers weekend but not there but at Ohio University which is in Athens. I answered well I'm not an O U dad, but she said that we'd just be joining her friend Beth and her dad. Beth does go to O U. I was a little disappointed because I was hoping for some naughty time with Amy, it had been a long time. Amy said there may be a chance for some alone time, which made me glad and I just decided to trust her, she has a way of working things out. Amy told me that Beth's dad had already arranged a rental with plenty of room. I was warming up to the idea assuming that they had rented a cabin and we'd have some fun for sure plus a nice nature setting would be great. So I told my wife Lisa that our daughter had invited me to this thing and it was really just a way for her to spend time with her friend from O U, and Lisa was fine with all of it as she had to work anyway. So I packed just a few personal items and a few clothes and off I went on Friday night after work to pick up Amy on the way to Athens. We talked constantly and the trip was short, we were almost there when I asked about Beth and her dad, what were they like? She said they had met at a volleyball camp, and she was a good player very friendly and black. I have to admit I was just a little surprised, I have no issues with black people and always raised our k**s to not see color, but this would be a different kind of experience being under the same roof. I thought, well good for Amy. I was looking forward to finding the cabin since we were getting close now when Amy said they didn't rent a cabin. I said I just assumed that they did, she said no we were staying at the Baymont Inn, hmmm just a hotel room. Amy said well it's a suite so there is a little more space there. Okay I thought well this is for Amy so make the best of it, but I was sure unless Beth and her dad went out that we'd have no private time. We met Beth and Tony at the hotel, and I suggested we go out for something to eat as we were hungry.
