The hours passed as we joked and teased each other. Despite initially being frustrated that Julia came home, I was now glad that she was here. Spending time with her reminded me of how special she was and how much she had grown up. Julia had developed into an intelligent and hard-working young woman. Yet, there was also a wild and carefree side of her that I connected to. The more I got to know this new woman before me, the more I saw myself in her.

As the night drew to a close, the two of us began cleaning up the kitchen.

"I can't believe we went through 2 bottles of wine," I said while almost knocking over one of the empty bottles.
