... and got into the driver's seat. Before Jane realized what was happening Vall had left the repair centre and was heading into orbit. Once the car was safely in orbit Vall turned off the busy highway, and headed off into deep space. This worried Jane as her car was only designed for planetary trips and not long distance runs. Vall could see that Jane was getting a little worried. He smiled at her and told her not to be concerned he knew what he was doing. He then accelerated to full speed, he looked at Jane and said. "This is the best way to test that the new fuel injection valve he is working correctly." He continued to head off into deep space. Jane glanced across at the cars instrument panel. She noticed that the car was running very low on fuel. She now said to Vall. "If we don't turn round immediately, we will run out of fuel and be stranded in deep space." Vall just looked at her he didn't seem at all concerned he just pointed to something off in the distance. Jane looked out of the front windscreen she could see something off in the distance but it was very small. However the closer the car came to it the larger it got. Vall was now beginning to slow down. Jane could now see that the object was some kind of space station. Vall now informed Jane that this was one of Mr. Carter's remote Fuelling centres for his long distance space trucks. ... fuel up before headed off into deep space. Jane was expecting him to manoeuvre next to one of the pumps, however he manoeuvred the car to a big hanger door. She looked at him a little concern then said. "Aren't we going to refuel now." He turned and smiled at Jane. The smile he gave her made Jane's blood run cold. She was now wishing that she had not come on this little trip. Once the spacecar was directly outside the big hanger door, he took something out of one of his pockets. Jane noticed it was some kind of remote control. He then pressed one of the buttons on the remote control. The big hanger door started to open. Vall looked at Jane he could see she was getting a little bit nervous. He smiled at her again then said. "The fuel injection valve needs a little adjustment, so I'm taking it into the repair hanger to do it." Jane started to relax a little bit. Once the car was inside the hangar the big hanger door closed automatically. He carefully landed the car inside the hanger. He was looking out the side window at a big red flashing light. Jane asked him. "what the red light meant." He looked very closely at Jane and then replied. "The red light means danger, when it stops flashing and the green lights come back on, it is safe to leave the car and the alarm is turned off." They both now got out of the car, he opened a hatch under the spacecar. And started to adjust the fuel intake valve. He then closed the hatch under the spacecar. He then turned to Jane and said.
