... her head slightly to one side, one eye half closed and the other wide open. I panicked there and then as there was no smile; no frown either but my mind said this was bad. For god's sake why had I kissed her it screamed. "You're very naughty because I'm married." The words, albeit in her soft voice, hit home like a hammer inside my skull. At this point I should have said something; sorry at the very least, but even that simple little word was stuck like a fur ball in my dry throat. The next thing that happened came completely out the blue. I thought the hammer was bad but a baseball bat suddenly appeared out of nowhere and crash it caught me on the back of the head as she said, "We can finish this game later after we've done your work." Wham! The smile beamed across her face as she winked at me. You could have blown me over with a feather as she said, "come on slow coach we need to start collating this lot." She took my hand and I felt a lurch forward as we turned away from the copier. Now what exactly we did in the next thirty minutes or so I have no idea but somehow I picked up the printing and started to get it sorted into piles. It really wouldn't have been done without you." One part of me wanted to cry and the other wanted to give her a very big hug. I settled for the tears as I still wasn't sure about she said early. "Hey silly, no need for those. It's what friends and colleagues are for." It was true and I was silly for letting my emotions get in the way. I wiped them away and gave her big smile. She smiled back and that there meant the whole world to me. That smile, the upturned lip smile that made me wants to giggle every time I saw it. "Come on let's get tidied up and off home. It's the weekend now, its play time," she said, with a gleeful voice. We put the things away quickly and diligently as neither of us could stand mess. As I picked up the dirty mugs she shook her head. "Oh no you don't, I'll wash them," she said and walked from the other side of the desk. Well mischief suddenly popped into my head and I was away down the length of the office at a canter. I looked behind me to see her laughing and shaking her head. I got as far as the door to the main stairs when she started to walk after me. I had a good twenty yard ...
