... was and came back. I grabbed a log, sat it up and hefted the ax. I managed to split it on my first try. Miss Tina watched as I split a half dozen logs or more. I returned the ax to the shed. I grabbed the wheelbarrow and pushed it back over to the wood pile. I loaded it up and we walked back to the house. Just as I was carrying my first arm load in I heard Miss Tina gasp. “It's starting to snow,” she said. I dropped the logs by the fireplace and came back out. I looked up and sure enough it was snowing. Little tiny snowflakes were falling through the starry, clear night sky. ”It's beautiful,” I said as I walked over to Miss Tina. I pulled her in close and we kissed passionately as the snow continued to fall. “Let's get this wood in and get a fire going, shall we?” After I got all the wood in I went over to the fireplace. I checked the flue and everything before I placed a starter log on the grate. Miss Tina went into the kitchen while I started building the fire. After a bit of fussing over how I had the logs stacked I was satisfied. I grabbed a long match from the holder on them mantel and struck it against one of the hearth stones.
