On the coffee table the vase was full with fresh flowers, I could hear the dishwasher running, and when I walked casually to the bedroom the bed was stripped, and the sheets already in the washer. My husband was jet lagged and first to bed that night, and when I joined him I stood at the window and looked over to Hal’s place. In my relief at the condition of the apartment and deck I had forgotten about that little piece of evidence. As I smiled to myself my husband stirred and asked me sl**pily if I was flashing our new neighbor yet! If only he knew, which he may do if I decide to confess one fun night!
