Thinking his response carefully, Doug explained, “From what I can tell, when Kim goes off to college in a couple of years, she didn’t want me to be alone. She thought I needed a beautiful, desirable woman in my life, and she picked you,” he responded, smiling broadly. Seeing such a big smile coming from him, and taking note of the beginnings of sexy crow’s feet by his eyes, she couldn’t help but smile too and asked, “And what do you think of her choice?” With all four hands grasping each other’s, he just had to ask, “May I be honest?” Getting lost in his brown eyes, Cathy merely nodded. “At the risk of scaring you, I think she made an incredibly intelligent choice, and I’ll be sure and thank her,” he smiled. “May I ask what you think of her idea of setting us up?” Lightly caressing his hand, “I have to admit that the idea was positively brilliant. Laying her utensils down and taking his free hand in both of hers, “You two have no idea how lucky you are to have each other,” Cathy quietly said.
