My Experience in London What impressed me a lot were the buildings in London like the buildings along Regent Street & Oxford Street which are of typical British style.Even the common residential houses were so nice. But houses looked similar,it wasn't easy for me to find the right way every time. When people are talking about U.K.,talking about London, they have to refer to Buckingham Palace,Tower of London National Gallery and the British Museum.Luckily,I visited all of these great sights. Now they are not only big names to me,but also a part of my experience,a part of my memory. Buckingham Palace has been the official abode of British Royalty since 1837.It started life as a simple town house owned by the Dukes of Buckingham but two of its later tenants -George IV and Queen Victoria -radically altered its appearance, leaving it as it is today. The forecourt is the setting for one of London's most popular and spectacular tourist events. Buckingham Palace was the first sight I visited in London, but I could only wander around the forecourt (since you couldn't go inside to bother the Queen).I been allowed to visit almost all of the Tower of London, both outside and inside, after each of us paid 10 pounds for the ticket. The Tower of London was mainly perceived as a medieval place of imprisonment and execution. Nine hundred years of history were embraced within the thick, turreted walls. Even though the Tower's violent years have been long gone,an aura of death and medieval torture ...

It was also a chance for me to see the legendary ravens who have been living within the walls. Charles I decreed that six ravens should always inhabit the Tower. Folklore has it that if they ever leave, the Tower will fall and the monarchy with it. Interestingly enough, orders have been received to clip their wings! I took a photo for the famous ravens. National Gallery was another age-old place I visited. The magnificent Georgian edifice, founded on the northern side of Trafalgar Square, houses a massive collection of Western European art. I saw the real famous work of arts which I had only seen in our art class books like “Sunflowers”by Vincent van Gogh. The paintings were definitely the TOPs. The British Museum was another FREE place besides National Gallery. It is one of the world’s greatest treasure houses and also one of its most respected academic institution.Founded in 1753,the Museum exists to illuminate the histories of culture, for the benefit of present and future generations,by preserving, presenting, enhancing and researching the unique collections in its care.I won’t forget that I spent a whole roll of film to help me memorize everything in it. To me,the greatest attraction in London was Madame Tussaud’s I didn't forget the introduction of Madame Tussaud’s in “Look Ahead”.Actually,it was more wonderful than I thought. In the 1770s Madame Tussaud began making ...
