1. Unit

I thought that you knew, We worked better as a unit, Two of us as one, Not adding a stupid third wheel. Its like when you learn to ride a bike, (Cough) Not when you become one, Your training wheels are good to start, But eventually two wheels is enough. Like a plug and a socket, A necklace and a locket, Two things fit together just right, Kind of like a switch and a light. So I wish you hadn't cheated, Flung my heart into pieces, And pretended like nothing happened, Thinking I would never notice. You changed the way you dressed, Came home smelling of someone else, Your disposition changed on me, From hot to cold in a flash. You plugged yourself into some other socket, Let your chain host another locket, Did she fit as well as you expected her to? Or did her switch blow your light clean out? We used to be like H2O, But soon it felt more like CO, You took all my nice Hydrogen, And swapped it for the toxic poison instead. So now I've found a better unit, Found myself as H2O2, And have bleached away all your dirty stains, Am nice and clean and fresh and now little pain remains.
