I kicked off my sandals and entered the bar. I aggressively approached him and said, "You're about To have a big fucking problem." ~"What are you gonna do about it son???" He said with a sneer. Raising his hands to taunt me. ~"Kyle!!" Carmen yelled at me in frustration. I turned to look at her. In that instant he grabbed the collar of my karate gi. I reflexively shifted forward and sank an elbow into his gut. He buckled for an instant. I stepped in behind him and close lined him. Throwing him on his back in the middle of the bar. "Kyle!!!" She screamed at me again. I stood over him eyes wide with rage as he tried frantically to crawl away. Carmen grabbed me by my collar and pulled me towards the door, "Now!!!" We ran out of the bar before any of his friends decided they wanted trouble too. The car ride back home was silent. I tried several times to talk to her and ease the tension but it was useless. Then out of nowhere. "What the fuck do you think you were doing!?!?" She yelled at me,"That guy could have had a gun! Or they could have all ganged up on you! You could have been hurt badly! You are gonna get violent and risk all that just because some drunken jerk smacked my ass? Do you really think that's the first guy to uninvitedly smack my ass?!?! What's the best outcome of what you did tonight? There is no good outcome of you hurting someone just cuz he smacked my ass Kyle..." I tried to explain myself to her but it did no good. We rode silently again, I let what she had ...

I told as she parked her car two streets away from the house and we continued our trek back to the house." I was stupid and way out of line. It's not my ass to claim and defend in the first place." I apologized and hung my head in shame. We stood by the front door as she fiddled with her keys to unlock it. She turned to look at me. ~"I'm sorry I flipped out on you so bad," she said annoyed. "I'm flattered you'd protect me like that, but the risks of you getting into a fight doesn't undo what he did, and probably wouldn't teach that jerk a lesson anyways." We settled into the house and Went to bed exhausted from our day. A few days later life had gone back to normal. Carmen seemed aggravated with me for a day or so, but she came off of it. We never directly talked about what had happened between us while we were stranded in the quarry. And we had yet to reenact any of it either. I was wondering if that was meant to be a one time occurrence or if I had completely ruined it by roughing up that jackass in the bar. It must have been well past ten at night. I was training out back again. Sweat rolling off my head. I had taken my shirt off and was using it as towel. I Spun around on the balls of my feet preparing to do a flashy jump kick. When I noticed Carmen staring at me from her window. "What's up?" I asked her out of breath as I walked up to her window. ~"Nothing..." She chimed ...
