There are worlds behind your eyes, I long for them to envelope me, draw closed the lonely spaces separating our hands, the words we've been scared to say to each other. Like sonnets written with your voice, place your lips on me so I can feel the lovely verses made that can fill the cracks made by cold exits. But I will not reach for you out of pain, it's because you found me exactly as I am, surrendering to the same pull, drawing me to all that you are. There are hidden notes in your words, I long to decipher them, the meaning carefully placed within each one envelopes me in the dark. Where the locks of your hair cover and flutter along my face like soft silk plumes as your lips whisper we never have to be scared again, that each second together writes a private sonnet. The fingers interlacing as your body covers me, the street lamp's soft golden glows, splashing across your face for a moment when a chilled breeze pushes the curtains aside. They're all verses composing the countless details I'll cling to, the raw intimacy that pens and cameras cannot truly record. There are universes inside you I long to know the axis and elements of, to know what makes you envelope me because I'm already there and ready to create The next verse and all others until there are no spaces left between us.
